In April 2017 ILG AUSTRIA started a new life with the office location directly at Vienna International Airport !

Going the next step, we are glad to inform you, that we got some additional power by Mr. Markus BRANDL who joined our team lately. Markus can be considered as the “oceanfreight and project expert”.

He started his successful career in 1991 at Kuehne & Nagel Vienna taking care of the European Trucking Division. In 1994 when he was at Gebrueder Weiss his career in oceanfreight started and it is still ongoing.

On his way he worked for multinationals as well as for mid sized players, a good and important experience that he brings into ILG.

Markus is MBA and holding the license for International Freight Forwarding, which is obligatory in Austria to be able to run forwarding business.

For any kind of oceanfreight we mainly use the ports of Hamburg and Koper and we also wanted to inform you about our own LCL consolidation services "KOPEX" installed from Asia and India constantly.

NEW and MORE power for ILG AUSTRIA ………

It was time to review our position in Austria. We had to consider our current competitiveness, which is important for our international network partners as well as for local market, but also wanted ILG AUSTRIA to be a social part of our group.

We are glad to inform you that Mr. Gerald “Gerry” ROTTENDORF joined our team with the aim to renew our position in Austria and bring some new spirit.

Gerry started his career as a trainee under the “Dual Education System“ in 1984 in German company called Birkart and Lebert. This company was later bought by LOGWIN and was also an expert on hanging garments.

Actually, I know Gerry since then and can say that we went successfully through several activities together. Gerry became so called “full blood” freight forwarder with main focus on airfreight and oceanfreight.

He even became a manager of NIKE SPORT logistics and distribution center in Vienna during his career.

Another important task was our new location for ILG AUSTRIA.

By opening our office at one of the most important European gateway, Vienna International Airport, time reduction, simplification of procedures and most important Gerry´s long term personal connection with airlines and carriers on the spot, will for sure improve our competitiveness.

He owns DGR license and is certified as “Regulated agent” as well. This step can also increase our competitiveness for cargoes regarding our offices in the CZECH REPUBLIC, HUNGARY and SLOVENIA.

Dear valued customers, agents and friends,

INTERNATIONAL LOGISTIC GATEWAY was founded 15 years ago on November 2nd 2001. At that time, we considered ourselves as an innovative player on the market and started to create and offer new services in an office not bigger than 29 m2 in a small village called Zelatovice, Moravia district, the Czech Republic.

Right from the start we became involved with customers dealing with highly valued computer components, meaning time sensitive. We set up our services and became first freight forwarder using German airports such as HHN and later FRA as the main gateway. Investment into our first own trucks allowed us to offer service such as delivering cargoes, ready in Asia on Saturday, before noon on following Monday. This service was unique, even UPS, DHL or FEDEX was not able to match our timing.

Soon more and more top Czech IT companies started to use this kind of service, more office space was needed and ILG started to grow up.

We joined international freight forwarder networks in 2004 and since then we became soon well known on the logistics field and many overseas agents started to use our service.

As we grew wider, the next logistic step was to establish offices in Hungary, Austria, Slovenia as well as set up EC Logistics in Brno. This growth of our company surely meant more manpower and I am very glad that a lot of people who joined ILG in 2005 are still on board. Would like to also mention that not only ILG expanded, but also a lot of people in our team have children and somehow I feel a bit like a grandpa. Just to name a few, Sophie, Emma, Nella…….

We started our business in 2001 as a small company and now ILG consist of 4 branches with about 100 members. Looking back and trying to find out the reason of our success.

.......and I found one and consider it as the most important one. It is YOU, customers, agents, carriers and of course MY TEAM! Human power is the most important thing in our business.

I found it a bit boring to celebrate only on anniversaries, plus we were on the market only two months as ILG was set up in November 2001, meaning not a whole year. That is why I decided to have a great party to our 15th anniversary in 2017.

Dear valuable members, friends,

I know president Jay since a long long time. All the years I felt not being ready to join G.A.I.N., also based on the fact that there are too many networks on the market already. Jay still kept us involving into G.A.I.N. family and transferred business to us, so that the time came to join and support.

Now back to the office and looking back to a fantastic venue, perfectly organized, amazing hospitality and the most important, nice and top competent people. I am more than happy that I have decided to go for G.A.I.N. and looking forward a good business development.

Unfortunately our presentation did not work out as usual and the page under construction been due to working on a new webpage, which is ready now. Anyway sometimes the technic follows its own way and it reminds me on the two most famous words in the IT. PLUG and PLAY, which I actually re-named into PLUG and PRAY :)

Our Home is Central and Eastern Europe with an office network and 3 main gateways in use to serve all air and oceanfreight shipments.
Our other set up ECL – EC Logistics – with its Head Office in Brno is taking care the warehousing, Distribution, Cross Docking and expecially weeky shuttle services to CIS and the Baltics. Any request for those Services please don’t hesitate and contact info@ecl-log.com.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

We also mentioned during the meetings, that the majority of business outbound from Europe is controlled at the final destination. Consequently it is difficult for us to generate business for you. But we are holding fresh and qualified sales leads, which we are ready to share with you. We are also more than happy if you could get us some sales information as well. Our indoor sales department will take care about it.

Last but not least, it was a pleasure to meet all of you in Colombo at a great event. Very much enjoyed and hopefully see all of you again in India in 2017.
